Definition Of Reiki

I know from experience that there are so many Healing Techniques to choose from and if you're like me, it's hard to know what's real and what's "hocus-pocus".
It's my intention to give a comprehensive definition of Reiki. Many therapies are common place now, such as Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Homeopathy. But there are many other types that are more esoteric and harder to describe. In addition to the definition of Reiki, I have used this technique in practice, and have first hand knowledge that it works!
It is pronounced Ray-Key, and refers to Universal Life Force energy. Many years ago Practitioners would pay masters $10,000 to learn the healing art. Now the cost is nominal, but what you get in return is Priceless.
It originated in Japan and is an ancient Japanese Hands On Healing art, but can be administered either in person, laying your hands on, or long distance through sending thoughts of healing. Either way is very effective.
In learning Reiki, you would be able to instantly relieve pain, speed healing to a loved one or a cherished pet. It's also used in healing past trauma, or relationships. After doing a healing treatment for a past relationship, the next phone call could be from that person! It is considered a universal healing energy. You don't need any prior experience or knowledge, just the desire to be open to receive the attunement and be a clear channel for sending Reiki.
During a session, you are applying the principles of Quantum-Physics. Energy follows thought, and that energy can make huge changes. If healing is what you're intending for yourself or a loved one, many times it can happen immediately. However in some cases, changes can appear to take longer because this technique is so subtle, changes can take time to manifest.

The student normally does not see what the Master is doing during the attunement process since their eyes are closed. The symbols are sacred and are only shared from one practitioner to another.

While there is movement from one hand positions to another position, it is best that you do this in a most gentle way so that the recipient is not disturbed at all. The moment you have gone ahead to place your first hand on the body of the recipient, you should ensure that this contact is not broken. Q. "What does it feel like?"
A. Reiki treatment has been described as sensations of heat or coolness, “pins and needles” tingling, vibrational buzzing, electrical sparks, Throbbing, numbness, itchiness and even drowsiness.
Q. "Is Reiki a religion?"

A. Reiki works in conjunction with all other medicine and most Reiki practitioners do not recommend you do not seek out conventional medical advice in favor of Reiki only. Reiki can be used along side all other treatments for tremendous benefit.

A. The Reiki symbols are simply tools to use as focus points.
Q. "Can Reiki be used at a distance?"

Reiki symbols are sacred healing symbols that open the doors of healing for its practitioners. These symbols provide a path for the flow of energy and lead one to higher levels of awareness and manifestations. Each symbol holds some form of meta-physical energy. In written scriptures, these symbols are considered to be Sanskrit derived Japanese forms.
Reiki has four symbols, which are: Cho ku Rei, Sei He Ki,Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen and Dai ko Myo. Cho ku Rei is the symbol of power. Though Reiki energy can flow without it, the symbol provides a source of energy. It is usually used in the beginning of the healing process. This symbol can be used for healing emotional or mental distress such as nervousness, fear, depression, anger, and sadness. It can be also used to enhance memory, as it connects with the subconscious mind, where memory is stored.
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is the symbol used for transmitting energy across time and space. This can be used for transmitting energy into the past as well the future. Dai Ko Myo is the Matter Symbol. It is considered to be the Light of the Buddha or the Light of the Awakened Heart. It signifies expanded wisdom and an ability to see the future. It is used to heal the soul.
