The Chakras represent the seven primary energy hubs in the body. Healing life force energy is constantly flowing in and out of these centers. Just as the cosmos is constantly changing, so too are the levels of energy absorbed and radiated by our Chakra centers. The Chakras:

Sahasrara – The Crown Chakra represents energies associated with cosmic consciousness, spirituality, knowledge, wisdom and inner peace.

Ajna – The Third Eye Chakra represents energies focused on both physical and spiritual vision. Psychic powers resonate from the Ajna Chakra, as well as your image of the Cosmos as a whole (the big picture) and the many nuances that make your journey unique.

Vishuddha – Throat Chakra is the energy center associated with communication and creativity. Your energy to express yourself verbally and creatively are derived from the Vishuddha Chakra.

Anahata – The Heart Chakra’s energy is concentrated on issues concerning your emotions. This energy fuels your power to love, feel compassion and maintain balance between disparate aspects of your being.

Manipura – The Power Chakra provides the energy that fuels our strength of will, individuality and sense of self-worth.

Svadhisthana – The Spleen or Sacral Chakra supplies the energy we use emotionally and sexually. This is the energy used to connect to others.

What’s Your Goddess Sign?

Persephone-girls tend to be fickle, meaning “yes” when they say “no”. They secretly enjoy being the scapegoat and having their life in a shambles, and won’t do anything about it while they are really waiting for a rescuer to swoop in and save them. Persephone-girls should stop playing the drama queen and come up from the underworld – it is time to stop luxuriating in guilt and try honesty on for size.

Do this: Practise saying “yes”, and meaning it.

Jun 22 – Jul 23: DIANA

Powerful and protective, Diana is the Roman goddess of nature, fertility, children, providence and harvest. Finely tuned to their environment and the feelings of others, Diana-inspired women are hunted for their natural empathy and sensitivity. Deep down though, they want escape. They hunger for more than their daily routine, but can’t see their way past their busy lifestyle. Commitments and responsibilities make an escape (and “time out”) seem like an impossible dream. Diana-women should take time to look after their own need for love instead of always giving it away to others.

Do this: Take a stroll in a place with nature and pick up anything that catches your eye. Whether it’s a stone or a feather, keep it with you to keep you grounded.

Jul 24 – Aug 23: PELE

The bright and fiery Pele is the Hawaiian goddess whose spirit dwells inside the largest active volcano in Hawaii. Full of passionate energy, Pele gals love being the centre of attention and the life of the party. Their well developed ego is a mask, however, for the nagging feeling that their energy is being misdirected. They work so hard for the attention and admiration from other people, they allow flattery to interfere with their otherwise balanced judgement. Pele-inspired women should cut their losses and work to channel their energy in a more rewarding way.

Do this: Stare at a yellow stone and visualise what you really want to happen. Repeat this until it becomes habit, and habit becomes manifested reality.

Aug 24 – Sep 23: HESTIA

Goddess of household abundance and well-being, Hestia energises the home with a welcoming energy, healthy food and comfort. As such, she is a creature of habit and organisation, purity, sincerity, sanctity and safety. But just as the ancient goddess Hestia is depicted in a pose of immobility, so too are her women immobilised by their own habits and need for organisation – simply, they may feel like they are “stuck in a rut.” Their convictions keep them so absorbed in their work, they can’t imagine living any other way. They need to ask themselves, “What’s the self-sacrifice for?” and break from their obsessive patterns.

Do this: Think of something spontaneous and daring. Take that leap of faith, and just do it.

Sep 24 – Oct 23: VENUS

The perfect lover, Venus is the Roman goddess of love and beauty. She rules over a woman’s sense of style and her appreciation for acts of love, pleasure and romance. Venus-born women find it difficult not to walk with a sassy step as they search for heady relationships, friendships and social acceptance. In their quest for perfection they are prone to self-criticism, forgetting the aura they exude is the aura they attract. And though they are insightful leaders, they can blur the line between business and pleasure, which can result in diminished professional success. Venus women should revel in their playful character and strong personality, but keep it appropriate to each situation.

Do this: Be a magnet for positive energy and smile at everyone today.

Oct 24 – Nov 22: MEDUSA:

Archetypal Amazon warrior, Medusa was a beautiful African queen who defended the freedom of her family, friends and territory with a fierce passion. She represents courage, strength and an abiding patience in seeking vengeance for wrong doings. Medusa women need to be careful they don’t become obsessed with bearing a grudge though, or they will emulate their namesake after her face became frozen with rage and her hair a seething tangle of snakes. By articulating hurt or feelings of betrayal, Medusa women can remain in control of creative expression rather than physical destruction.

Do this: Sing in the shower and release pent-up feelings of anger out through your voice.

Nov 23 – Dec 21: RHIANNON

A maiden of ethereal beauty, Rhiannon was the Welsh goddess of fertility and rebirth, transformation, wisdom, and magic. She was born with the first moonrise, embedding her with an inner urge for adventure and travel. As such, she rode her unearthly white mare between this world and the Underworld to satisfy her thirst for discovery. Rhiannon-inspired women can be so focussed on the horizon, they forget about being sensitive to those around them. They could learn a little tact occasionally, and anticipate others’ needs rather than waiting for them to ask.

Do this: Identify someone who needs your help, and assist them without thought of payment or thanks.

Dec 22 – Jan 20: DEMETER

In Greek mythology, Demeter is the goddess of the harvest. When her daughter Persephone was abducted by Hades, Demeter’s search took her on the path of poverty, abuse and eventually madness. It is typical of Demeter-inspired women to put the perceived needs of others first, at the expense of their own well being. They aspire to champion a cause in spectacular style, but tend to “smother” (as opposed to “mother”) the project they feel responsible for. They are better off ignoring their ingrained sense of frugality and self sacrifice and concentrate instead on cultivating things that make them happiest – children, herbs, or a comfortable home, for example.

Do this: Burnout is not your goal. Carry rose quartz to give some love back to yourself.

Jan 21 – Feb 19: HATHOR

Patron of dancers, mother of the gypsies, Hathor is the ancient Queen of Heaven. Hathor-inspired women have the gift of shape-shifting – the ability to transform themselves from a woman crippled with anxiety to a creature shining with light and radiance. In fact, it is a gift they use often in their quest for reinvention. They are constantly seeking new and fresh inspiration, which does not always sit well with more grounded people. With each new manifestation, they need to spare a thought for those they leave behind – not everyone is flexible with changing natures.

Do this: List five personality traits that you want to be remembered for when you die. Then live them, every day.

Feb 20 – Mar 20: OSHUN

Mother of rivers and the bloodstream, Oshun is the Nigerian goddess of universal love and sensuality. Oshun women are as flexible and predictable as the tides, being generous with their time for themselves during an “ebb”, and for others during a “flow”. They “go with the flow” of their instincts in order to find inner tranquility, but can lose sight of the real world in doing so. Sometimes it would be healthy for them stop drifting along without direction or intent, and instead to find a place where they can simply be.

Do this: Float on a still lake or pool but keep one foot anchored on the edge.

Psychic Attack: Spiritual Purification and Cord Cutting

Energy stealers are everywhere! They are your family members, your friends and they are your co-workers and YOU may even be one yourself. A more common name is a Psychic Vampire and we all know what vampires do! In this case the vampire is sucking our vital energy, depleting us and causing us to become unhealthy emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Spiritual purification and cord cutting are some tools that can keep the vampires away!

What does the term ‘Psychic Vampire’ mean anyway?A psychic vampire is a person that steals other people’s energies because they are living their life in victim consciousness and believe that everything happens ‘to’ them. Living in this manner is very dis-empowering. Therefore in order for them to feel better about themselves they need to attach themselves to another person’s energy field. In order for this ‘vampire’ to attach themselves to your energy body, they form cords attaching the two of you together. When they need a boost, they unconsciously steal your energy instead of using their own! These cords are also like highways and run both ways! That means that you will also receive their energy whether it is positive or negative.

If they have a headache, you may also develop a headache. It they are depressed, you may become depressed. If they are angry, you may become angry and so on. As you can see this can be very detrimental to your health. At an unconscious level, you have allowed the vampire or vampires to attach themselves to your energy body through these cords. These cords are not visible to the naked eye but they can be seen with the psychic third eye. These cords prevent you from really being the real you! It is imperative that these cords be severed and sometimes a spiritual purification is required for your well-being and also for the growth of the other person.


How do we recognize a Psychic Vampire?Some traits of the dis-empowered energy stealer are:

  • feels lonely or abandoned
  • feels they have been rejected
  • needs constant reassurance
  • never feels satisfied
  • doesn’t like to be alone
  • seeks nurturing or feels they need to be taken care of
  • low energy and fatigued
  • they have a poor me attitude
  • is a drama king or queen
  • constant talker that never allows you to speak
  • needs you to be their therapist or rescuer fixing their problems
  • the blamer making you feel guilty about things
  • vindictive by putting you down
  • a person that is unhappy a lot
  • tries controlling you or your life
  • manipulates you to get things their way


How do I know if I am being psychically attacked?

  • dizziness
  • loss of energy
  • muscle tension
  • mental confusion
  • headaches
  • chronic fatigue
  • sleep disturbances
  • irritability
  • depressed mood
  • physical illness
  • small diminishing aura
  • leaks, holes and/or tears in your aura
  • and a whole lot more!

I know, you are now thinking that is almost everyone alive! Unfortunately, too many people are simply not aware of their energetic bodies and how they operate. Once people start taking responsibility for creating their own lives and taking back their personal power this will not be an epidemic. (Granted other conditions also can be the cause of these symptoms besides being psychically attacked.) Those that psychically attack others either do this consciously or subconsciously. Either way it is detrimental to your health, in all areas of your energetic being, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

How do I protect myself from this? First you need to become aware of which individuals deplete your energy and limit your contact with them. But simply not being in their physical presence does not stop them from draining you! Know that not all people attacking you are people that you know either! Secondly, you need to release all the negative emotions that you carry within yourself. If you hold anger, hurt, jealousy etc. inside your being, it is like you are shackled to a ball and chain, holding you hostage with your own creation! Releasing of all negative emotions brings freedom as fear is the robber of peace. Why must I do this? Because any disharmony in our four energetic bodies will cause us to be vulnerable, so that darkness and confusion can enter. Being aware of this is empowering. I stress this, do not go into fear now that you are aware of this. Simply take the steps to protect yourself. Darkness consists of anything that is of a lower/heavier vibration such as anger, fear, depression, jealousy, hatred etc. When angry thoughts are directed at you, they can penetrate your weak and vulnerable areas like arrows. What happens is they take away your clarity and fill you with confusion and drain your energy. Following are some tools to empower yourself from Psychic Vampires.

Here is a simple cord cutting exercise. Cord cutting should be done on a daily basis and much more often when we are going through a stressful period in our life. These cords should be cut from our loved ones as well. No cord attached to anyone or thing is good!

  • Take some deep cleansing breaths. In through the nose and out through the mouth. Call upon Arch Angel Michael and ask him for his assistance in cutting all cords that are attached to your being. Visualize Michael swirling his sword around your entire being severing all the cords. Know that no cord can remain intact and they are returning to where they came from. When you feel Michael has completed this process, thank him for his assistance. It is done. Easy as that!


Here are some physical steps for purification.

  • Burn all relevant photographs or objects holding memories of the person, place or situation.
  • Write down all feelings of frustration, anger, hurt, fear, etc., and burn the paper, flush it down the toilet or bury it. Please don’t give it to the person! Repeat this step as often as necessary.
  • Clear all the clutter from every room of your home. Rule of thumb. If you haven’t used in 6 months it’s not likely you will! Get rid of it.
  • Clean and if necessary redecorate your home. Bringing nature indoors is wonderful energy!
  • Check there are no books in your bookshelves or pictures on your walls that have negative energy. Surround yourself with high vibrational objects, spiritual books, spiritual pictures, plants, fresh flowers etc.
  • Sprinkle holy water in all rooms starting at the center spiraling outwards.
  • Smudge with sage, cedar and sweetgrass and invoke the help of God, the Ascended Masters, the Great White Brother and Sisterhood, the Archangels and Angels, your Higherself and I AM Presence.
  • Play sacred music and sing, chant OM or say The Lord’s Prayer.
  • Cleanse and purify your crystals and dedicate them to the Light.
  • Light candles and use high vibrational pure essential oils.

Are you an Empath? Resources for Emotionally Sensitive People

Empaths have a natural ability to sense not only their own but also the emotions of others. This innate skill can be observed in babies. This ability usually subsides in childhood as we learn to focus more on verbal cues than emotional ones.

But for some people, the flow of emotional information just keeps coming. This can lead to powerful internal conflicts as they pick up incoherent verbal and emotional messages from people (such as when someone lies or suppresses anger). It can also quickly become overwhelming in social settings where the sheer quantity of emotional information can be too much to handle.

Emotional Intelligenceis defined as “the ability, capacity, or skill to perceive, assess, and manage the emotions of one’s self, of others, and of groups” (Salovey and Mayer, 1990). Developing your Emotional Intelligence means that you have tools and processes to manage this emotional data.

Are you an Empath?

  1. Do you feel anxious or nervous in a crowd (4+ people)?
  2. Does your mood vary seemingly at random (getting angry or sad for no apparent reason)
  3. Do you feel a change in your physical energy level when you’re in a crowd (tired, wired)
  4. Do you have a hard time falling asleep before midnight or do you procrastinate going to bed?
  5. Do you have physical symptoms that related to hearing (ringing, popping, itching in the ear)?
  6. Do you feel emotionally uncomfortable when someone touches or is close to you?

Empath Resources

Fortunately, there are more and more online resources available for Empaths. Unfortunately, most of these resources suggest a process that is likely to make things worst for you! Any kind of “protective mental shield” is based on the assumption that emotional information is threatening. If you go down that path, you will have to “defend” yourself for the rest of your life. How exhausting does that sound?

My work is result-based: if it works, keep doing it! As an Empath, these are the 3 tools I find most effective to manage the flow of emotional information I receive constantly. Try them out and see for yourself which one works best for you.

  • Being Transparent:

When we feel threatened by our surroundings, we become physically tense and our our energy field (the magnetic field that wraps around our body) becomes dense and constricted.

When you notice this tension, imagine that your energy field is expanding, like a gas. The particles are getting more and more spaced out, making your energy field thinner and much bigger. As your energy field becomes looser, emotions go right through you, like a rock falling through water. Instead of being caught in your dense energy field, the emotions of others will simply flow through you.

  • Adjust the Volume:

Sometimes the noise from other people’s emotions gets so loud that we can’t hear ourselves think! We get confused, hesitant, frustrated. Close your eyes and imagine two volume dials in front of you that go from 0 to 10. One says “Me” and the other says “Everything else”. Turn the “Me” dial to 10, and the “Everything else” dial to 0. Instantly, your mind will respond to this request and the chatter will calm down.

  • Progressive Affirmations:

Progressive affirmations can help you build up to where you want to be. Keep in mind that affirmations must ALWAYS feel good in order to be effective. So start at the “easiest” affirmation and say it for a few days. When you feel ready, move on to the next level for a few days until you can say the “top” affirmation while feeling good.

  1. “I am willing to master my Empath abilities”
  2. “I am ready to master my Empath abilities”
  3. “I am choosing to master my Empath abilities”

Keep in mind that practice makes perfect. Try doing it in your head before you throw yourself in a tough situation (such as the mall or a party).

Once you are comfortably managing your Empath skills, you are ready to move on and develop your Emotional Intelligence by productively using emotional data in your daily life.

The Magic of Intuition

What is intuition?Intuition is a wonderful ability we all are gifted with as human beings. It is often called our Inner Guide, since it secretly reveals to us what we should do or pay attention to in many important situations.

Intuition has nothing to do with our rational thinking, it does, in fact, replace it or complement it, since it works much more precisely, quicker and in tandem with reality.

Rational thinking, on the other hand, works step-by-step in a process over time while our intuition works for us in real time. This means that our intuition communicates with us at that critical and particular moment – just when we need it the most.

Intuition can appear like a clear and powerful message from deep inside us, telling us what to do in important situations when our rational thought processes can`t help us anymore. It can, for example, give us that sudden, life-changing clear conclusion in a critical situation – a decisive conclusion given to us, without our having given it any logical or rational thought.

It can also be that sense of just “knowing” which decision is the right one to make, especially in critical and time-pressing situations.

Intuition will sometimes come as a distinct feeling that warns us away from situations that just don’t “feel” right. For example, danger – many people have described how an intuitive “feeling” has saved them from tragic accidents. And much more.

Our intuition communicates with us in a wonderful way during many important situations in life.

We all have this amazing ability but many of us may not know how to get in touch with it, or even how to use it. But – intuitive thinking is something we can all do! In fact, it’s an ability that can be developed in an easy way and it always improves with use!

Why is it important?Our intuition is important because we need it in order to handle our lives successfully. The more we are in touch with our intuitive mind, the more we improve our ability to make the right decisions in life, to solve problems, to find and discover great possibilities, to create well-being and happiness, and much more.

Our brain consists of a right part (where the main part of our intuitive thinking has its source) and of a left part (where our rational thinking comes from). The reason why we have these two parts of the brain is, of course, because we need them and therefore should use them in balance.

Why have so many of us lost our intuitive ability – or at least our confidence in using it?

The two main reasons are:

  1. Our western society, unfortunately, is focused almost exclusively on rational thinking as a “rational” means of conducting our lives and solving our problems.

    This process starts in our childhood when our natural intuition is still very keen.

    More precisely, somewhere between 4 and 5 years of age we often start to learn through our upbringing that our intuitive thinking needs to be controlled and adapted. We learn this by noting a growing increase the attention and praise we receive for excising our rational thinking as we grow older, simultaneous with a decided decrease in the attention and praise we receive for the sponta-neous, intuitive things we say and do. Instead, we might have been taught to accept, even welcome intuition and encouraged to understand how we can use in balance with rational thinking, but, unfortunately, this rarely happens.

    As a result we lose confidence in our spontaneous intuitive abilities and use them less and less the older we get, until finally, we’re all but completely cut off from them.

  2. The other main reason our intuition gets cut off has to do with two emotional mind-states, namely, fear and various kinds of stress – two states many of us will come to have even more difficulty with in our lives if we don’t take care of our self-esteem and personal development.


What can someone do to improve their intuitive ability right now?There are many things we can do – here are two examples.

  1. Make room in your daily life for a period of calm and stillness. Intuition is suffocated by stress and by a tempo in our lives that is far too high and far too constant.You need to find an inner-peace, divorced from all planning and analysis.

    Until you do, you cannot perceive intuition’s subtle messages.

    You can meditate – do relaxation exercises – take walks in nature – or perhaps take a long warm bath.

    The particular method is not all that important – consistency is the key. Be prepared that in the beginning suppressed tiredness, sorrow or anger may bubble up. It can feel uncomfortable, even frightening, but when you dare to meet them, these feelings gradually die away, and you’ll have increased you self-esteem at the same time you’ve been creating an opening for your intuition to communicate with you.

  2. Make the most of your dreams. The traditional common-sense advice, “Sleep on it,” reveals an age-old wisdom. Intuition doesn’t sleep simply because you do.

    Pay attention to your dreams. Try to remember them and see if you can discover something new about yourself.
